Last week, I announced that Boost Business Support will be rebranding as Content Boost from Friday 2nd February 2018.
I took you on a journey through the evolution of the Boost brand, and explained why I’ve decided to let it go and embrace a new chapter as Content Boost.
But I withheld the juiciest bit…the new logo!
Well, the wait is over – it’s time for the big reveal!
So, without futher ado…
The new Content Boost logo revealed!
Here is our brand spanking new logo, designed by the amazing Fiona Robertson Graphics!
As you can see, we’ve gone astronomical! What do you think? Leave a comment to let us know!
Here’s the reversed version for dark backgrounds…
How did we develop the new logo?
So, how did our new logo come about?
Well, when Fiona and I were first discussing ideas for the brand, I told her that whenever I’d thought about a new logo for Boost, what came to mind was a space rocket.
“Oooo…”, that got her cogs whirring!
I went on to explain to her the types of customers we work with; mostly small professional service companies, in the business to business (B2B) sector.
They tend to be solopreneurs, or small teams, so we work closely together and build a strong relationship. Therefore the logo should have a fun, friendly feel, as if it were for a personal brand.
Equally, it should be clean, bold and simple. Our services are presented as a series of fixed-price packages with set features; I wanted the logo to reflect this simplicity. Almost like an app or online subscription.
No mean feat!
Next, we spoke about styles and influences. She asked me to put together a Pinterest board of images, graphics and logos that I like, for her to draw inspiration from.
I have quite eclectic taste when it comes to things like art, design and music. But right now I am obsessed with the bright colours, bold patterns and synthy beats of the 80s and 90s.
So, naturally, my Pinterest board was a melting pot of rocket ships, neon colours, and chunky fonts! As well as logos from brands I admire and appreciate.
When Fiona came back with the final concept, it felt like she’d plucked it from my brain. I think I actually said “yes, that’s it!” out loud to myself (like a weirdo, haha). What had been a fuzzy picture in my imagination had just come to life in front of me.
I absolutely love it – I hope you do too!
What’s the meaning behind the logo?
Like the first men on the moon, we want all our clients to be pioneers of their industry.
We want them to reach for the stars, but not at the sacrifice of what’s important in life. From the rocket ship window, you can look down on Earth and see the big picture.
We want them to leverage their talents to better the lives of their clients, their communities and their family. It takes many people to send a rocket into space; everybody has their unique skillset and works together as one to achieve amazing things.
Like the astronauts who man the rocket, we want them to control their own destiny, and inspire others to do the same.
But, above all, we want them to grow a business which gives them freedom.
Through our blog management services, we help business owners to delegate and ‘buy their time back’, so they can spend it where it matters in their business and in their life.
More than that, by helping businesses to blog successfully and gain customers through content marketing, we give them freedom from selling.
The right customers now come to them, because they demonstrate that they’re the best company for the job through their articles.
For me, this is what the new Content Boost brand encapsulates.
So, what’s next?
Now, the countdown begins.
In just 7 days, on Friday 2nd February 2018, our new website will be revealed and Content Boost officially launched.
Get ready for lift off!! (and more space puns) 😜🚀
